The notice, issued for December 3, was accepted by senior counsel Arvind Moudgil and Kritin Sharma on ED’s behalf. Appearing before the Bench through video-conferencing, the senior counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already been discharged by Ludhiana Special Judge vide order dated November 27, 2019. The order had attained finality.

The Bench was also told the ECIR was registered by the ED for the offence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act but complaint had so far not been filed. The petitioner had not been joined in the ECIR, despite registration of the same in 2013.
