Himanshu Jain is Ludhiana DC
Just after the two days’ visit of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to the city, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jitendra Jorwal is transferred. Himanshu Jain, a 2017 batch IAS officer, who was the Deputy Commissioner, Roopnagar, will be the new Ludhiana DC. Jain also remained as the Additional Principal Secretary to CM Bhagwant Mann.
The transfer of DC Jorwal has come as major surprise in the IAS lobby and political circles.
A 2014 batch officer, Jorwal took charge as the Ludhiana DC in September 2024. In about six months, he has been shifted.
