In a ceremony held in Chandigarh recently, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria honoured DCM group of schools for establishing India’s first School of Entrepreneurship in the region. The recognition was received by the group’s CEO Anirudh Gupta.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Kataria emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship and startups in the modern era, stating that such initiatives would significantly strengthen India’s economic landscape while also contributing to the prosperity of the state’s economy. The event was graced by prominent industry leaders, Punjab government officials, Director General of Software Technology Parks of India Arvind Kumar, president of TiE Chandigarh Satish Arora and distinguished personalities from the education sector.
Expressing gratitude, Gupta highlighted the need for education that aligned with students’ professional aspirations. He stressed that DCM YES (Young Entrepreneur School) integrated “practical knowledge” and “experiential learning” to ensure students were fully prepared for the future.
Gupta revealed plans to establish similar institutions in other cities across India, offering students customised education based on their interests, equipping them with world-class entrepreneurial skills. — OC
