Inter-district women’s T20: Ludhiana eves record thumping win over Faridkot

Ludhiana, July 19

In the opening league match in Group B in the Punjab State Inter-District Senior Women T-20 Cricket Tournament, Ludhiana recorded a thumping nine-wicket win over Faridkot. The match was played at Faridkot on Friday.

Opting to bat first, hosts Faridkot were bowled out for 40 runs in which opener Sharanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 16. For Ludhiana, Aishmine Kaur grabbed three wickets for four runs, Varsha Rani captured three wickets for eight and Moli Gosal took three for 13.

Ludhiana achieved the target in just 4.3 overs after losing one wicket. Avneet Kaur carried her bat after contributing 30 runs off 17 balls which included six hits over the fence.

In the next match, scheduled to be played at Bathinda on July 21, Ludhiana will take on Bathinda.
