The Jagtar Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament Committee is organising the 8th edition of the All India Jagtar Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament (Under-21) from December 16 to 20, 2025, at Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium, PAU, Ludhiana. The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis, featuring top junior teams from the Asian sub-continent.

The event is held in memory of the late Jagtar Singh, a multifaceted personality who was a renowned hockey player, sports-loving organiser and advocate. He founded the District Hockey Association, served as its secretary for 20 years and was thrice elected president of the District Bar Association, Ludhiana. Tragically, he died at a young age.

It will offer prize money to winning teams and outstanding players. This edition will also be covered live by Doordarshan. Participating teams include SAI, Lucknow, SAI, Kurukshetra, Amritsar XI, Ludhiana XI, Chandigarh XI, Surjeet Hockey Academy, Jalandhar, Namdhari XI, and Hockey Academy, Sangrur. Harvest International School and Tennis Academy are the sponsors.

The tournament will be inaugurated by Amardeep Singh Rai, DGP (Traffic), Punjab Police, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, VC, PAU, Ludhiana, and Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana.

Cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding players in every match, with top prizes for the leading three teams.
