According to the DSP, a thorough investigation revealed that the items belonged to two jail inmates, Firozuddin and Deepak. They had hatched the conspiracy, violating jail rules. Both were subsequently interrogated who confessed that the goods were delivered through the assistant superintendent, Sukhwinder Singh. Following this, the jail administration took the incident seriously and questioned the official regarding the matter.
