Kaamil Sabharwal and Samaira Aggarwal overpowered their respective opponents to secure berths in the girls U-13 category final in the Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament here on Saturday. Kaamil faced a little challenge from Anmolpreet Kaur Chouhan, whom she edged out 21-9, 21-6, while Samaira got the better of Maanvi 21-13, 21-7.

In the girls U-17 group, Gursimrat Kaur Chahal and Gurleen Kaur Dhillon logged victories. Gursimrat beat Parabhnoor Kaur Mathura, and Gurleen drubbed Sonali.

Boys’ results

U-15 (quarterfinals): Vihaan Bansal beat Rabbiquel Anji, Tanush Prashar beat Samardeep Singh, Khagesh Chadha beat Aarav Jain and Agam Bhalla beat Girish Dudeja.

U-11 (semifinals): Sanay bhaskar beat Madhav Jagga and Ryan Singla beat Vanshil Gupta.
