Khalsa College student wins mimicry championship
Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, added another feather to its cap by clinching the National Gold Medal in Mimicry at the 38th AIU Inter-University National Youth Festival held at Amity University, Noida, from March 3 to 6, which saw the participation of over 2,400 students from 148 universities across India.
Rupali Sharma, a student of BSc-II non-medical, brought laurels to the college through her stellar performance and by showcasing her incredible talent in mimicry event organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). These universities were selected from approximately 1,000 institutions that competed in zonal competition.
The festival featured 28 competitions, including classical music, vocal music, western music, folk dance, classical dance, quiz competitions, debate competitions, plays, skits, poster making, collage making and more.
The members of the managing committee applauded the efforts of the faculty for earning accolades in this mega event. Mukti Gill and Kamaljit Grewal, director and principal of the college, respectively, congratulated Rupali and the mimicry team.
