During the visit, she checked the presence of force inside the police stations and interacted with them in detail to ensure proper law and order in the area. She also directed Station House Officers (SHOs) to conduct adequate patrolling in their respective areas and keep hawk eyes on anti-social elements.

Kondal also asked the officials to attend every person visiting police stations during night hours and ensure justice to all without any bias and prejudices.

“I want zero tolerance against any kind of crime and illegal activities in the jurisdiction of police stations. People involved in drug smuggling should not be spared and strict action should be taken against them. Even the police should prepare details of properties of smugglers amassed through means of drug trade. The police should also not connive with any criminal, rather they should discharge their duties with utmost honesty and dedication. The Police Department should also reward officials for performing well,” the SSP Kondal told police personnel during the checking.

Meanwhile, the SSP discussed important cases of respective police stations and also directed the officials concerned to clear backlog of cases, if any, at police stations.

When asked if any discrepancy found during her surprise visit to police stations, the SSP told The Tribune here on Wednesday that no discrepancy was found during her visit. In fact, everything was in order and required staff were also present inside the stations.

Kondal said she would continue to conduct such surprise checkings in the Khanna police district in the days to come.
