Muskan and Harmandeep Kaur emerged the winners in 400m race in the girls’ U-17 and U-21 age groups, respectively, at Government Senior Secondary School, Sahnewal, in the ongoing block-level games of the third edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan being organised by the Punjab Sports Department under the aegis of Sports and Youth Services, Punjab, with the help of the district administration at different venues across the district on Wednesday.
In the U-17 section, Ekta and Aarti secured the second and third position while in U-21 group, Shalini and Prabhjot Kaur finished at second and third, respectively.
In kho-kho (girls’ U-14), Sutlej Public Senior Secondary School, Rahon road, bagged the top position and Decent School, Bhambian Kalan, finished as the runners-up while in the U-17 category, Government High School, Sasrali Colony, emerged the winners. Shifali International School and Government high School, Begowal, secured the second and third position, respectively.
Mandeep Kaur, principal, Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Sahnewal, was the chief guest today.
At Kila Raipur (Dehlon block), in volleyball (smashing) for U-21 boys, Paragon International School, Victoria Public School and Drishti Public School, Narangwal, secured the top three positions and in football (boys’ U-17), SKN Youth Club, Seelon Khurd, team won the first position while Youth Welfare Sports Club, Gurm village, and SS School, Dehlon, finished at the second and third place, respectively.
