Reeta Arora, a resident of Rajguru Nagar and mother of the victim, Vaneet Arora, along with her family members and other residents, reached the office of the Commissioner of Police and raised questions over the functioning of the police. She alleged that only two suspects were arrested by the police in the case while five miscreants were still roaming freely in the case.

“The suspects, who are roaming freely, are also issuing threats and forcing us to reach a compromise. We have been urging police officials to nab them but the police were least bothered about the case,” she further alleged.

“Who will be responsible if the suspects at large attack her son and cause him further damage, said victim’s mother.

The woman said the police took away the DVR from the office of his son in which personal data of his office was also stored and they requested them to at least return the DVR or allow them to copy the data but nobody listened to them.

Notably, Vaneet Arora runs a recovery and collection agency at Feroze Gandhi Market. On November 20, Gurinder Singh who defaulted on a Rs-20,000 loan taken from a private bank, came to settle the amount at our office. As Gurinder called his son, Balkaran Singh, the latter, along with his friends Harmandeep, Lovepreet Singh, Param Joshi, alias King, came in Thar. They abused Vaneet and his partner and also attacked them inside their office. As the matter escalated, officials from the Kochhar Market police post arrived and calmed down the suspects and later they left the office. However, around 8.30 pm, when Vaneet Arora was walking towards his car to return home, the suspects came and rammed their vehicle into the victim with a clear intention of killing him. — TNS
