LDCA official resigns, cites internal politics
In a sudden move, Suresh Katyal, senior vice-president of the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliated unit of the Punjab Cricket Association, today tendered his resignation, citing health issues and internal politics within the organisation.
In his resignation letter, addressed to Satish Mangal, president, LDCA, Katyal cited internal politics as the major reason for his decision, stating that he could no longer cope with the stress and pressure of the role. He alleged certain members were creating a toxic environment that made it difficult for him to continue with the association.
The district cricket body is facing severe criticism from players and their parents. Concerns have been raised about the organisations’ functioning, including issues with transparency, accountability and fairness.
