Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jitendra Jorwal directed officials to complete all pending civil works on the upcoming international airport at Halwara within the next 10 days.

During a meeting with officials from the Indian Air Force, PWD, Public Health, Airports Authority of India (AAI), NHAI, Drainage Department, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need to accelerate pending construction works related to the runway, taxiway and other key areas.

Jorwal noted that several works, including the construction of internal roads, public health services, campus lighting, terminal buildings, substations, sewage treatment plants (STP), horticulture, toilet blocks and parking had already been completed. He urged department heads to prioritise completion of the remaining tasks. He also announced to take stock of all works physically in the next week at the site with all officials of the departments concerned.
