Aiming to expedite development works, Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Sandeep Rishi conducted review meetings with the officials concerned of different branches of the civic body at the MC’s Zone D office here on Thursday.

The meetings were held with officials of the B&R branch, O&M cell, health branch, building branch and others and necessary directions were issued to them to expedite the development works.

MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh, Joint Commissioner Inderpal, Joint Commissioner Chetan Bangar, Assistant Commissioner Neeraj Jain, Superintending Engineer (SE) Sanjay Kanwar, SE Parveen Singla, SE Ravinder Garg, SE Ranjit Singh, Executive Engineers Ranbir Singh, Ekjot Singh, Surinder Singh, Assistant Town Planners (ATPs) among others attended the meetings.

The civic body chief directed the officials of B&R branch and O&M cell to expedite the pending works and ensure quality of the same. He also reviewed ongoing projects to reduce pollution in the Buddha Nullah.

The health branch officials had been directed to ensure regular lifting of segregated dry and wet waste. Directions have also been issued to ensure proper working of static compactors.

Meanwhile, the building branch officials, including the Municipal Town Planners (MTPs) and ATPs were directed to take strict action against illegal buildings and expedite recovery of challans issued against compoundable building violations in the past.
