Following this information, the police have tightened security across the city for the last two days.

Patrolling has also been increased. Additional police forces have been deployed at many government offices and sensitive places, including Jagraon Bridge, the Post Office, the BSNL Building, DIG Kothi, Circuit House, and the Ferozepur Road Elevated Bridge.

The police are also concerned by the information of the terror threat in a large industrial city like Ludhiana, and security agencies are now keeping a close watch on every movement. It may be mentioned that this is not the first time government buildings in the metropolis have received threats of being bombed; such threats have been received many times before.

Police at the police stations located on the highway have also been asked to remain alert. After receiving the threat of a terrorist attack, while the security of many government buildings in the city has been increased, the commissionerate police has not increased the security of the police stations.

The security of the police stations located on the highway has been asked to be especially vigilant. One of the ACPs in the city, wishing not to be quoted, said that Ladowal, Salem Tabri, Division Number-6, Sahnewal, Dehlon, Division Number-5, Division Number-3, Jamalpur, Kumkalan, Moti Nagar, Meharban, and many outposts of the city come under the highway police stations, where security arrangements are increased.
