Terror plot foiled: 2 held with 2 hand grenades in Ludhiana

The two men were injured in the exchange of fire and were shifted to Civil Hospital Ludhiana for treatment.
According to reports, the police had received vital information about the activities of the suspicious men following the arrest of some individuals by Bihar and Haryana police a day ago. Based on this information, the police laid a trap for the duo, who opened fire on the police near Chahar Toll Plaza. The police retaliated, injuring both accused.
Two hand grenades, four pistols, and around 50 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma supervised the operation and confirmed that the duo was allegedly part of a terror module working under the Pakistan agency ISI. They were planning to strike at a strategic location in Punjab, according to the police.
Senior functionaries of the police have reached the hospital where the two men have been shifted for treatment.
The police are yet to issue a formal release on the matter.
