The Rotary Club of Ludhiana (Midtown) organised a seminar titled ‘Say No to Drugs’ at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. As many as 400 students participated in the seminar.
Speaking at the seminar, Dr Vikas Loomba from Christian Medical College and Hospital stressed on the fact that in order to control the menace of drug abuse, the community needed to start sensitising children of various schools and colleges.
He emphasised that prevention was always better than cure. The major factor pushing the youth towards drugs was peer pressure or a feeling of loneliness. Pankaj Sharma, president, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertaking also interacted with the students.
