The Jamalpur Police have initiated a probe in an incident in which a sanitary shop owner of CMC Colony, Bhamian Road, here has gone missing after uploading a video about an ‘attempt to commit suicide’.

The missing trader, Ajai Kumar, has accused a man of duping him of Rs 8 lakh on the pretext of buying a shop from a property dealer.

In the video, Ajai alleged that even the civic body had not done justice to him.

Assistant Commissioner Police Inderjit Boparai said a probe had been initiated. He said Ajai’s safety was the police’s priority.
