At the age of 15, Aditya Pahwa, a bright, multi-talented student, is not just exceptional in academics and football but also in his deep love for music. However, his passion goes beyond just melodies and rhythms.

Aditya, who recently completed his Class X board exams, along with his friends, Uddhav Kapoor, Anahitaa Jain, Amaya Sahni, Trishir Aggarwal and younger brother, Krishnav, Pahwa made the most of the break post exams and instead of just relaxing, embarked on a remarkable journey of music and social impact.

Aditya has formed his own music band, ‘Udaan’, which will be performing live on April 5 at Paragon Waterfront here in Ludhiana. But this isn’t just any band performance — it’s a fundraiser to provide prosthetic limbs to the underprivileged.

A prominent industrialist and Aditya’s grandfather, Onkar Singh Pahwa, said the young lad had always been deeply involved in humanitarian work. Since the age of 11, he had actively helped his mother in running ‘Do Good Foundation’, an NGO dedicated to educating and uplifting underprivileged children. But the idea of forming ‘Udaan’ came to him from a life-changing encounter.

“One evening, after his music class, he and his friend stopped at a gurdwara to pick up his mother. There, they saw a man struggling to walk with just one leg, using only a bamboo stick for support. The sight deeply moved them. They recalled watching an episode of Shark Tank, where they had learned about Fupro, a company creating advanced prosthetic limbs that offer four times more durability and enable the user to walk 10,000 steps a day, improving mobility and even employment opportunities. This moment sparked an idea — how could they raise funds to help people like that man? And that’s when ‘Udaan’ was born,” Onkar Pahwa said.

‘Udaan’ was more than just a band; it was a movement of young hearts coming together for a cause. Along with the underprivileged children from ‘Do Good Foundation’ and ‘Act Humane’, they were putting up this special musical concert to raise funds and brought mobility back into the lives of those in need, Onkar Pahwa, MD of Avon Cycles, said.
