Ludhiana's Ojas bags 3 gold medals in swimming

A student of Class X at Jesus Sacred Heart School, South City, Ludhiana, Ojas (15) gave a sterling performance, winning four medals including three gold in the CBSE National Swimming Championship, held from September 17-21 at the Sports Complex of MD University Swimming Pool, Rohtak.
Ojas stamped his superiority by securing gold medals in the Boys-I group (U-17) category in 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke events in addition to a bronze medal in 50m breaststroke event.
In the CBSE North Zone Swimming Championship, held at Sonepat, recently, Ojas bagged five medals including three gold and two silver on the basis of which he was selected for the national championship at Rohtak and he proved his credentials, fetching three gold medals and a bronze.
Ojas had proved his class when he established four new meet records at the 46th Punjab State Swimming Championship, held in Ludhiana, last month.
Surjit Singh Sandhu and Balraj Sharma, president and CEO, respectively, Punjab Swimming Association, and the school authorities congratulated Ojas on his outstanding achievement.
