Man arrested with stolen motorcycles, snatched mobiles

The Jamalpur police claimed to have arrested a motorcycle thief and snatcher. The police also recovered four motorcycles and seven mobile phones from the suspect. The motorcycles were stolen by the suspect from city areas and the mobiles were snatched by him from city residents recently.

The suspect was identified as Anuj, alias Kaka (29), a resident of Mundian Kalan.

Jamalpur SHO Inspector Balwinder Kaur in a statement issued stated that a police team was conducting a patrolling in the area when a tip-off was received that the suspect committed motorcycle thefts in the area and used the stolen vehicles to commit mobile snatchings in the city.

The SHO said a police team conducted a raid after verifying the location of the suspect and nabbed him from the Jamalpur area. During preliminary questioning, he admitted that he committed over 12 incidents of vehicle theft and mobile snatching. In fact, 10 cases, including thefts, snatchings, were already registered against the man in the past.
