Man found dead in park

Panic spread in the area when a man was found dead in a park opposite the Jeevan Nagar police post under suspicious circumstances. A passerby saw the body and informed the police, which reached the spot and started the investigation.

The police tried to identify the deceased, but no one knew anything about him. A key and a Rs 5 note was found in his pocket.

Focal Point police station SHO Amandeep Singh Brar said that froth was coming out of the mouth of the deceased and there were no visible injury mark on the body. Preliminary investigations showed that the person seemed to be around 25 years of age and might have died by suicide by consuming some poisonous substance.
