Ludhiana, August 14

The body of a man, with hands tied, was found near a petrol pump in the Karabara area.

A cloth was wrapped around the neck of the deceased which was suspected to be used to strangulate him.

According to the information, the incident came to light when some people had noticed a body near the petrol pump and had promptly reported the matter to the police. Inspector Avtar Singh of Daresi police station said the body has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital and that a murder case has been registered against unknown persons. — TNS
