Ludhiana, July 10

A 30-year-old man was killed by his friends on the Deepak Cinema road on Tuesday night.

He has been identified as Abhishek of Naali Mohalla.

The victim, along with his friend Kalu and two other friends, were consuming liquor on the Deepak Cinema road when they had arguments over some issue. In no time, the arguments took a ghastly turn and the trio , attacked Abhishek with a knife. He suffered serious injuries.

ADCP -1 Jagbinder Singh said after injuring the victim, the suspects took him to his house and lied to the victim’s family that someone attacked him. Later, when his kin were taking him to a hospital, he died on the way. When the police checked CCTV cameras, no other suspects were seen. Hence, role of the suspects was established behind the killing. Raids were being held to nab them. A case has been registered.
