According to the findings, road crashes in Ludhiana have reduced by 6.25 per cent in 2024 compared to 2023, indicating early signs of a positive impact from various road safety initiatives. This improvement is attributed to consistent efforts over the past year in traffic management and road safety by the civic body, in collaboration with road traffic experts.

Mayor Inderjit Kaur further stated that the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, have also been incorporated and the civic body is taking serious steps to improve traffic management in the city.
