MC official suspended for dereliction of duty

Amid the Municipal Corporation (MC), Ludhiana’s, crackdown on illegal constructions in the city a building inspector, Kuljeet Singh Mangat, was suspended over his failure to stop illegal constructions and dereliction of duty.

The suspension orders were issued by the Local Bodies Department on the basis of a report submitted by the office of MC Additional Commissioner.

MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal stated that clear instructions had been issued to the building branch officials regarding taking stern action against illegal constructions or facing the music.

Meanwhile, Dachalwal urged residents to begin construction only after getting building plans approved from the civic body, or face action.
