Ludhiana, August 24
Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has welcomed the state government’s decision to recruit 400 regular Medical Officers after a gap of four years.
“Regular recruitment of PCMS doctors will go a long way in strengthening the public healthcare system. It will ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services to the poor,” said Akhil Sareen, state president of PCMSA, Punjab.
The PCMSA is optimistic of the assurances by Health Minister Dr Balbir on providing adequate security arrangements through outsourcing of security personnel at all centres of the state by the end of this month, he said. As regards the issue of reinstating the Assured Career Progression and the pending 6th Central Pay Commission arrears, the PCMSA will hold a meeting on August 25 to announce its plan of action from September 9 onwards.
