Minor girl goes missing, 1 booked
The father of a minor girl of New Mahadev Nagar here has complained to the Sahnewal police that her daughter has been missing since Friday and that he has held a resident of Makkar Colony responsible for the same. The girl’s whereabouts still remain untraced even as the police had sent teams in different areas to arrest the suspect(s).
Sushil Kumar Ojha, a resident of New Mahadev Nagar, has alleged that his 17-year-old daughter was missing since Friday. The girl is a student of Government School, Dhandari Kalan. The father and the mother were out and the girl was alone in the house on the day when she went missing. When her brother returned home, she was found missing.
Sushil searched for her at all possible places and also enquired about the same from his relatives but the victim had not been traced so far.
He alleged that Akash Tiwari of Lale da Vehra in Makkar Colony, Dhandari Kalan, is responsible for the same. The suspect first lured her with false promises and then forced her to run away with him without consent of her parents. The complainant said his daughter was innocent to understand his nefarious design and she might be in trouble. He asked the Sahnewal police to launch a massive search to nab him.
Investigating officer Ram Murti said a case under Sections 96 and 137(2) of the BNS had been registered against the suspect on the statement given by Sushil Kumar. “We have raided several places where the suspect might have kept the girl. The search was still on and we will trace him and the girl soon,” he added.
