Motorcycle-borne suspects attack youth, snatch mobile

Ludhiana, August 3
A youth returning home from work on a bicycle on Friday night was surrounded by bike-borne miscreants. They attacked him with sharp weapons. When the youngster opposed the act of the suspects, they hit him on the head and snatched his mobile phone. His friends took him to the Civil Hospital for treatment.
The victim suffered serious injuries on his head. He received 20 stitches on his head.
Ripu, brother-in-law of the youth, said: “Deepu does wood carving work in Samrala Chowk. He was returning home from work on Friday night. I was also going behind him on a bicycle.”
Later, the bike-borne miscreants started chasing him. They cornered Deepu near the Cheema Chowk bridge. When he opposed them, the suspects attacked him with sharp weapons. He tried to save Deepu from the miscreants but they also attacked him with a sharp weapon and injured his hand, he said.
Ripu added that a complaint was lodged with
the Ludhiana police in this regard.
