MP announces support to Darpan Centre for Autism
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora attended the annual function of Darpan Centre for Autism, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, as the chief guest.
Arora praised Darpan Centre for Autism for its pioneering efforts in providing services to children with autism. He commended the dedication of those running the institution and expressed admiration for the performances by the children.
Arora acknowledged the significant role of well-off families who have adopted children for their education, calling their contributions to society “laudable”.
Responding to a request for expansion of the institute, Arora pledged to arrange land and promised financial assistance for the centre.
Highlighting the rising prevalence of autism, Arora shared a concerning statistic — autism, once affecting one in 3,000 children, now impacts one in 30. He cited an alarming projection that by 2030, one in three children may be diagnosed with autism, expressing hope that such predictions prove incorrect.
