Mundian takes stock of paddy procurement in Sahnewal

Cabinet Minister for Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, Water Supply and Sanitation, Housing and Urban Development Hardeep Singh Mundian today took stock of paddy procurement in Sahnewal and assured the farmers that they shall be duly awarded for their hard-earned produce in time. He also reviewed the arrangements made for assured supply of clean drinking water and maintenance of cleanliness in the mandi. He was accompanied by Ludhiana DC Jatinder Jorwal.

Mundian asked the officials of the procurement agencies that the details of the crops procured from the farmers should be immediately uploaded on the portal so that the latter may be assured timely payment. He further assured the payment shall be credited in their accounts within 48 hours. He asserted each and every grain of the famer shall be purchased by the state government in a transparent and smooth manner.

Jorwal said the grains would be lifted in a timely manner and no farmer should have any complaints against the system of clearance. He said the state government had made arrangements to ensure hassle-free procurement of paddy in the state. He asked the farmers to bring moisture-free paddy so that they may not have to suffer on any account.
