Navya of Fazilka and Navreet Kaur of Sangrur emerged winners in long jump and javelin throw events in the girls U-18 category on the second and penultimate day of the three-day 99th Junior Open Punjab Athletics Meet. The meet was being organised by the Ludhiana District Athletics Association at Guru Nanak Stadium.

In the long jump event, Parneet Kaur of Mansa and Harman Kamboj of Fazilka secured second and third positions, respectively, while in the javelin throw event, the second and third positions were bagged by Nihsita of Fazilka and Madhvi Kaur of Ferozepur, respectively.
