With an aim to enable NCC cadets to prepare for induction into the Indian armed forces, a total of 25 SD (boys) and 18 SW (girls) cadets from 19 Punjab Battalion NCC were facilitated, under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Ludhiana, to witness a recruitment rally organised by Army Recruiting Office, Ludhiana, at Guru Nanak Stadium.

The cadets, exhibiting high motivation and enthusiasm for this opportunity, endured chilling and foggy weather in the early morning hours, to gain first-hand knowledge about various stages involved in recruitment, including documentation check, biometric attendance and physical tests, comprising of running, crossing a 9-foot ditch, zig-zag balance and beam test. Additionally, the SD cadets were also exposed to the procedure of screening candidates for physical qualitative requirements like height, weight etc. Overall, the tour provided cadets an insight to prepare for the recruitment in future, obliterating all fears and doubts.
