NCC girl cadets to get drone training from May 19 to 23
A weeklong specialised training programme from May 19 to 23, titled “Introduction, Operation and Handling of Drones”, will be conducted for 15 cadets of 3 Punjab (Girls) Battalion of NCC, Ludhiana. The training is scheduled daily, focusing on the technical and practical aspects of drone handling, operations, importance and uses in daily life for national safety and security.
The cadets, hailing from Khalsa Girls Senior Secondary School (KGSSS) and RS Model School, Ludhiana will receive expert guidance from seasoned professionals of the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to equip the cadets with essential skills aligned with emerging technologies in defence and civil applications.
The training will be held in the presence of Commanding Officer Col RS Chauhan, SM, along with PI Staff, Girl Cadet Instructors (GCI), Associate NCC Officers (ANO), and other technical professionals, ensuring a robust learning environment and disciplined engagement.
The initiative reflects a significant step towards integrating modern technology into youth training under the NCC, preparing cadets for future challenges with hands-on experience and expert mentorship.
