Neighbour rapes nine-year-old girl

A nine-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour at Ladhowal. The accused called the victim to kitchen on the pretext of bringing some snack from a shop and sexually assaulted her. The girl, who was in pain, went home and told everything to her family, after which the Ladhowal police station was informed about the incident. The police, after getting medical examination of the girl, registered a case and arrested the accused.

According to information, the accused, Jaspreet Singh, alias Jassi, first developed friendly relationship with his neighbour’s daughter. The accused took the girl to his house by engaging her in conversation where he asked her to bring a packet of Bhujia from a nearby shop. When the girl brought Bhujia, the accused called her to the kitchen. As soon as the girl went to the kitchen, the accused caught hold of her arm, threatened her and raped her. When the girl felt pain in her private part, she informed her family about sexual assault.

Ladhowal SHO Gurshinder Kaur said the accused was arrested and a rape case was registered against him.
