NIRF rankings: Ludhiana's Punjab Agricultural University slips to 80th rank in overall category

Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, has secured the third rank for the second consecutive year in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2024, under the agricultural and allied sector institutes category. The university has also secured the 80th rank in the overall category. In 2023, its overall rank was 54.

“In the broader category of all agricultural institutions, encompassing agriculture and allied sectors, the PAU proudly ranks third, with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, and the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, taking the first and second spots, respectively,” said Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Dayanand Medical College has slipped five ranks down to the 40th rank this year while last year it was at 35. Christian Medical College has slipped seven ranks down to the 49th rank among medical colleges. Last year, it ranked 42. However, Christian Dental College continues to maintain its 30th rank among dental colleges this year as well.
