District Magistrate Himanshu Jain on Monday has declared a No flying zone within the limits of the district till the completion of the election process to maintain law and order. In this regard, flying of any kind of drone, etc, will be prohibited.

The order has been issued in exercise of the powers vested under Section 163 of the BNSS.

Jain said the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural)/Khanna would be responsible for implementing the order. Further, the order does not apply to drones being used by these police officials and the Returning Officer (RO) for election purposes.
