Noorwala road property dealer commits Rs 14 cr fraud, booked

The Ludhiana police have registered a case of fraud against a property dealer, who had committed a fraud of Rs 14 crore on the pretext of selling plots in Dholera city of Gujarat.
The accused has been identified as Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Noorwala road.
Complainant Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Khanna, told the police in a complaint that the accused was working in real estate, with whom a deal was struck to purchase 28 plots of 100 sq yds each at Dholera in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat. This project was related to the construction of a smart city by the state government.
The complainant added that he had given Rs 14.71 lakh to the accused, but the latter did not give the possession of the plots. Following this, he lodged a police complaint, which led to the registration of a case against the property dealer.
Investigating officer ASI Amolak Singh said that a case on the charges of fraud, forgery, etc. was registered against the accused and further investigation was launched in the case.
