One dead, 4 test positive for Covid in Ludhiana district


Ludhiana, September 13

Four persons tested positive for Covid, while one person lost his life to the disease in the district today. The recovery rate of Covid patients has reached 97.57 per cent.

There were 30 active patients in the district and 24 were sent for home isolation today. One patient is admitted to hospital for Covid treatment.

A total of five patients — four from Ludhiana and one from other districts/states — have tested positive for Covid in the last 24 hours.

Till date, a total of 23,85,417 samples have been taken, of which 22,86,238 samples were found negative. The total number of patients belonging to Ludhiana is 87,510, while 11,669 patients belong to other districts/states.

The total number of persons who lost their lives to the virus is 2,099 from Ludhiana and 1,049 from other districts.

Samples of 6,685 suspected Covid patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.
