One dies in road mishap, two injured

Three Kashmiri youths met with an accident when a speeding Swift car hit their bike on Hambran Road late on Tuesday night. With the help of passers-by, all three were rushed to the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared one student, Mudasir Ahmad, brought in dead.

The condition of the injured Zahid Ahmed and Momin Ahmed was said to be critical. The accident happened when the three youths were going on a bike and a speeding car hit them, causing them to fall onto the road.

Divulging more information, a fellow student of Mudasir said that he was a student of BSc Nursing-IV at Mata Saraswati College of Nursing. The three students were identified as Mudasir Ahmed, resident of Baramulla, Zahid Ahmed of Bandipora and Momin Ahmed, resident of Batingu, Sopore.

Mudasir’s body was kept in the mortuary of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana. The family has urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to send his body to his hometown as soon as possible for the last rites.
