The Moti Nagar police have arrested Ajit Singh, a resident of Giaspura, and seized one pistol, magazines and two cartridges from him. During patrolling near Sherpur, the police got a tip-off that the suspect was carrying illegal arms and was standing in a vacant plot in Fauji Colony to commit some crime. The police reached the spot and arrested the man. A case under the Arms Act was registered.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
