Recognising growing concerns regarding mental health among young adults, Girls Hostel number 11, 12, and 14 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organised an insightful talk on ‘Mental health and well-being’ under the theme ‘My Hostel, My Home’. The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, and Dr Vandana Kanwar, associate professor of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, delivered an interactive talk.
The session saw participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students, focusing on understanding and managing stress, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. Dr Kanwar elaborated on the difference between fear and panic.
