The Department of Microbiology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised a one-day training programme at Khanjarwal village for promotion of biofertilisers under the scheme ‘Strengthening of mushroom production, biofertilisers and food/water/milk evaluation facilities’.

Dr Jupinder Kaur, microbiologist, apprised participants about uses and benefits of biofertilisers in agriculture and provided them with paddy biofertiliser for use in their fields during the paddy season.

A total of 25 trainees were benefited from the programme. The participants showed enthusiastic response and keen interest for the use of biofertilisers for different recommended crops in their fields.
