Ludhiana, July 25
The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organised a training camp for PAU Flower Growers Club members at the Skill Development Centre today.
The camp, attended by 45 flower growers, aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of flower growers in the region. It focused on advanced cultivation techniques and addressed common challenges in the industry.
Head of the Department of Floriculture and Landscaping Parminder Singh gave an overview of different flower varieties released by the PAU and the recommended practices for their cultivation.
Dr Aman Sharma discussed the diseases found in flowers and the steps for their prevention. Dr Madhu Bala’s session on cultivating chrysanthemums provided participants with the latest insights and best practices for successfully cultivating the flower.
A special segment addressed the common challenges faced by flower growers, offering a platform for members to share their experiences and seek expert advice.
