Farmers were given information about the PAU Kisan Mela held from September 13 to 14. The students provided information to the farmers regarding new crop seeds developed by the PAU, including new wheat varieties such as PBW 826, PBW Zinc 2 and PBW RS 1, encouraging farmers to adopt the varieties for sowing.

The farmers received suggestions and guidance on overcoming challenges in crop cultivation. The camp also highlighted the use of PAU’s mobile applications, including the PAU Kisan app and PAU Urea Guide app, which assist in efficient crop cultivation.

In the presence of the village head and secretaries, discussions were held on soil conservation and the efficient use of water. Additionally, water samples were collected from farmers for testing. Villagers expressed gratitude to the students for organising the camp and promised to extend their support in addressing farmers’ concerns.
