Payal drug peddler’s house razed
Continuing its coercive action against drug peddlers, the administration officials got another drug peddler’s house at Tandon Mohalla in Payal demolished amidst allegations of encroachment already reported by the civil administration.
The owner, identified as Munish Tandon, was reported to be in judicial custody when the house was demolised on Wednesday. He is facing seven drug-related cases. SSP Jyoti Yadav supervised the security arrangements made by police officials. Municipal Council executive officer Jasvir Singh led the personnel of the Local Bodies Department, confirming the illegal construction of Tandon’s house.
SSP Yadav said, “According to our records, Tandon has been supplying drugs and narcotics to a large number of addicts and suppliers and is presently facing seven drug cases.” Yadav added that the civil authorities had sought police protection for undertaking coercive action to demolish the peddler’s house, built in violation of the standard norms.
