Police freeze drug smuggler’s property

Suspect facing 17 cases, including charges of liquor smuggling

In a strict action against a drug smuggler facing as many as 17 cases of drug smuggling and other offences, Khanna police have frozen the property of the accused as part of their ongoing campaign against drug smugglers.

The accused smuggler has been identified as Parminder Singh. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohti Kumar, the property of the notorious drug smuggler was frozen by Khanna police on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Jyoti Yadav. The accused is facing 17 cases, including charges related to drug smuggling, fights, liquor smuggling, and other criminal activities.

The DSP further stated that a large quantity of heroin was recovered from Parminder. After verifying the value of the property, the case was sent to the competent authority for further necessary action. With the property now frozen, the accused will not be able to rent or sell it. A property freeze notice has also been posted on the house of the smuggler.

The DSP claimed that Khanna police have already compiled a list of several other smugglers, and their properties will be frozen in the coming days.
