Police release footage of desecration suspects, announce reward

Three days after two suspects struck at Shivpuri temple in Khanna and stole ornaments and desecrated the lingam, the Khanna police on Monday released pictures of the suspects and announced a reward for the informer.
Khanna SSP Ashwini Gotyal said during investigation, the police got CCTV footage from near the temple in which two suspects were captured. One was wearing a black cap while the other was carrying a backpack.
“They committed theft and sullied the lingam. We have formed several teams to identify and nab the culprits. Our teams are working round-the-clock to this end,” the SSP added.
The police suspect that recovered footage might be of after the crime as the accused were ‘fleeing’.
The temple committee members want the police to arrest the suspects at the earliest. — TNS
