The Punjab Youth Congress started a three-day training camp for its youth leaders and held its state executive meeting here today.
The programme is being organised under the joint leadership of Mohit Mohindra, president, Punjab Youth Congress, and Krishna Alaavaru, in-charge, All India Youth Congress. Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, Allavaru said the Youth Congress was an important part of the All India Congress Committee and that the youth played an important role in the development of any nation. Youth Congress members had put forward their best efforts and as a result the Congress was able to secure eight out of 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab in the General Election, he added
“Congress will come back to power in the state in 2027,” Allavaru said.
Warring said party workers should gear up for the Vidhan Sabha elections.
“The future of the party depends on its youth leaders,” he added.
Mohindra said party members had started laying groundwork in anticipation of the Assembly elections and were hopeful of a win. The three-day camp would train the youth leaders for their future political endeavours, he added.
