A Punjabi poetry collection titled ‘Na Puchheo Mera Haal’, authored by senior city lawyer Bharatbir Singh Sobti, was formally released on Wednesday at the District Bar Association, here.
The book was unveiled by Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, District and Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, in the presence of Additional District and Sessions Judges Saru Mehta Kaushik, SS Bajwa, Jaspinder Singh and Dr Rajneesh. Civil Judge (Senior Division) Dazy Bangarh, District Attorney Puneet Jaggi, along with Additional District Attorneys, also attended the event.
In her keynote address, Harpreet Kaur Randhawa recited a poem titled ‘Samey De Naal’ from the book and commended the author for dedicating the work to the memory of his late wife, Dr Parveen C Sobti, who worked tirelessly for thalassemic children during her lifetime. She prayed for the peace of the departed soul and lauded the author for pursuing literary interests alongside legal profession.
The event was hosted by the District Bar Association under the supervision of its president Vipan Saggar, Secretary Himanshu Walia and others.
The poet, Bharatbir Singh Sobti, opened the function with an introductory address about his writings, receiving warm applause from the gathering.
Copies of ‘Na Puchheo Mera Haal’ were distributed to all attendees. He expressed gratitude to the participants and described the publication as his first literary endeavour.
